The OC32 was introduced in February 2010 and therefore already 7 years old. In the meanwhile, new products are developed within the Dinamo Plug&Play concept, such as the TM44 and the new UCCI/E. The OC32/DS32 combination doesn't fit very well anymore in this concept and also otherwise some details can be improved. Time to say goodbye.
The OC32 is replaced by the OC32/NG. Those who already use the OC32 to their satisfaction have no reason to worry. The OC32 and the OC32/NG are software and firmware-wise 100,0% identical. You can even move configurations from the OC32 to the OC32/NG and vice versa without any adaptation. The OC32/NG is the familiar OC32 with a substantial 'facelift' and substantially easier to use and connect.
Some of the advantages of the OC32/NG are:
- Devices to be contred can easily be connected, directly and without any special tooling.
- Drivers for high-power devices are installed on the module itself. Easy to install, flexible in use.
- Two power groups for even more flexibility.
- Dimensions are equal to those of the P&P products TM44 and UCCI/E.
- RS485 connected by RJ45 plugs, easier to integrate in a Dinamo P&P and Dinamo/MCC system.
