Test mode for MCC cars?

Hungary

Hi All,

I'm building my first layout and I would like to test the track in "Faller mode", without communication with the UCCI. Is there a way to do that? I would like to run the cars endlessly on the layout without wires and stopping / junctions to check whether it needs adjustment or not.
In jDinamoCC3 I found a timeout setting for the decoder, but if I set this to the maximum value, it still moves the car only for about 5 seconds when it doesn't sense signal from UCCI.

Best regards,
Viktor

Hi Viktor,

Yep. If you set the timeout to the max value you have the maximum timeoutmrgreen
But a timeout of 0 is pretty useless. So therefore timeout=0 means "infinite".

One additional remark:
If you have an MCCdec02 it will still go to sleep after 100 seconds of no-signal, no matter what timeout you have set.
If you have an MCCdec03 you can turn off snooze and sleep modes by configuration. For anyone else reading this: We do not recommend this setting for normal use, but it is intended to keep the lights and flashers going all day during a show while the car is not on the road.

Best regards,

Wow! Thank you, Leon!
That's what I was looking for. Never tried the 0 value :-) 100s is enough to run a couple of laps on my layout.

Best regards,
Viktor
