Aspects programming

Hallo

I would like to use the Aspects of a signal SBB CFF 4 CHF FB123:

the signal works well by using the Test button on the OC32 Device Configuration ;
now it is necessary to program the different Aspects; I tried to translate the notice: OC32 Uitgebreide Configuratie 3. in french with google translation; but i understand just the general meaning; I know that I have to use the window that appears by checking the box show detail and set instructions
May have an example of programming signal whose (FAHRT)aspects change following the itinerary (test the position of 2 turnouts one behind the other)

for example
if 1 turn-out (Thrown) --- signal yellow green  ;Asp 2 = Fahrt 40km / h

 if 1 turn-out (straight) ;2 turn-out (straight) ------- signal ; 1 green ;Asp 1 = Fahrt

if 1 turn out(straight);2 turn-out (Thrown)-------- signal 2 green Asp 3 = Fahrt 60km

Itrain only allows 2 aspects for a starting signal

Thanks for your help

Hallo Hubert,

why do you want to program the OC32 for this? Just select the signal in iTrain, select as output device OM32 (so not OC32aspect) and iTrain will send the correct command to the OC32!

This saves you from switching between iTrain and OC32config and all your definitions will be stored in iTrain.

Frans

Hallo ; Frans

Thanks for your reply

setting of signals with Itrain is less flexible,
because the turnouts are declared
fast;
slow
standard: that is to say fast for Straight way and slow for Thrown way;
so only 2 aspects are possible for free way and not 3 as I wish
hoping to be clear

Hello Hubert,

please look at the attached screen dump. This is a signal on my BEMO layout This is a 3-aspect signal and it shows directly from iTrain Red or Green or Green/Yellow. You can even define two more aspects, so I don't know what more you expect? And don't forget that when OC32config should have more possibilities than iTrain, iTrain still has to support them!

But perhaps I don't understand the exact purpose you want to achieve? It might help if you send your iTrain tcd-file and point out what situation we are talking about?

Frans,

You can compare the turnouts on Huberts Railway with a three state turnout. Hubert wants 4 aspects: stop, 40 km/h (Left), 60 km/h (Right) and fast (Straigth). At this moment this is not posible without using Actions with endswitches on the turnouts. Xander is working with a new possibility in iTrain version 5.

I have a Dutch iTrainplan working with signals with 7 possibilities: stop (Red), Yellow 40 km/h, Green 40 km/h (blinking Green), Yellow 60 km/h, Yellow 80 km/h, Green 80 km/h (blinking Green + not blinking 8), fast (Green).

See signal H4. Press on SH4-C when the box on H4 is in use. (SH4-C is connected in OC32 with the box on H4 via resistors; see the Dutch Manual OC32, Pag 35, Fig 30 + Tabel 2: 10 kΩ at 15 V.)

In the case of Huberts railway you will need a connection with the Red light and the positions of the endswithes of both turnouts to give a correct signal to the signal: Halt (Red), Fahrbegriff 2 (40 km/h: Green + Yellow ), Fahrbegriff 1 (Maximum: Green) and Fahrbegriff 3 (60 km/h: Green + Green).

Kan iemand het 2e bestand in mijn vorige bijdrage verwijderen?

Thank you for your answers that I just found in my mailbox; These last days I did tests using the programming Itrain actually it is very easy but less complete, especially for a Swiss signal of station entrance
thanks again

Hubert

Hubert,

good to hear that you have managed to get it working. But perhaps you can tell us what you miss, so we can ask Xander to think about implementing those additions/modifications?

Frans

Hallo Frans

I am translating Martin's answer; I think he answers my question; unfortunately I could not open his file because I only have a standard license:
in fact for the current signals I have no problem
I only wanted to take advantage of the complexity of the Swiss signals that we find at the beginning of the big train stations.
(6 lights)

Mijn verhaal van 2 of 3 december is weg. En de rest ook. Vandaag kreeg ik steeds een rare melding van 'tiki'. Is er een probleem met de website (geweest)?

Netherlands
There was a database problem at the provider.

Hallo
We can connect again

A normal entrance signal has 7 lights in two vertical rows. The left row has 5 lights, the right row has 2 lights. A signal with 6 lights has a missing lower light in the left row or in the right row.

Hallo

I made a post Tuesday that does not appear
I downloaded version 4.1.6 of Itrain and now the signal Swiss station entrance (7 fires) works well in my opinion; previously I had on the 4.0.6 train.

now :
if the train must stop , we can have 2 yellow lights in direct way or thrown track
if the train does not stop; we can have 1 green light in direct track or 2 green on thrown track

It's good like this

regards

Hubert
