Train storage

Sorry I can't write Dutch...
If I use Dinamo system, what is a good way to set up train storage for locos or trams? E.g. if you have several locos on one track. Setting one block per loco or per tram does not make sense/too expensive. Thank you very much!

Hi Aleksz,

You can use a relay-circuit to power multiple storage tracks from one block-output. It is rather effective.
E.g. if you have 6 tracks in parallel and you want to park 3 trains on each track you would need 18 relays, 18 OC32 outputs and 3 TM44 outputs to park 18 trains.

Best regards,
Leon

Thank you very much, Leon! Are all three TM44 outputs tied to one block? Is there a wiring map you may have somewhere to show how to do it? Sorry I am very new here.

Hey Aleksz,

I did get some of my documentation from https://domburgtrainsupport.nl/handleidingen
In the middle of that page you see the Dinamo documents,
Click on DTS Tutorial Relais gestuurde blokken.pdf .
This document gives a nice explanation.
But, it is in Dutch... so you might want to use your favorite translation tool to translate the text.
The images however might be already a good help for you.

Leon's website also contains several interresting documents, some of them are in English.
See http://www.vpeb.nl/index.php/ondersteuning/documenten-dinamo/

Hoping these can give you some directions

Best regards,

Willem

Thanks Martin !

Thank you all very much, really appreciate the help! Now will be studying it...
